The Apple Car could be produced by Foxconn and Magma

A new report says Apple could rely on Foxconn and Magma to produce its first self-driving electric car.

Apple may reportedly decide to have the Apple Car assembled by Foxconn and Magma. This is because the automakers contacted by the Cupertino company do not want to be reduced to mere contract manufacturers.

While reports continue that Apple is still in talks with various automakers, Bloomberg suggests the company may be forced to turn to its existing supply chain. Component suppliers and assembly partners such as Foxconn or Magna could be chosen for the production of the long-awaited Apple Car.

Foxconn is Apple’s leading iPhone assembler, while Magna is an automotive company that previously worked on Project Titan.

Today’s Bloomberg report confirms previous rumors that Foxconn is creating an automotive arm . By doing so, the company could become a major Apple Car maker.
