The new iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max models come with 6GB of RAM.
Although it was presented only last night, the first results of the Geekbench tests of the iPhone 12 Pro with A14 chip were shared.
According to the test results, the 12 Pro comes with 6GB of RAM, a big improvement over the 4GB found on the iPhone 11 Pro. The new iPhone model scored a single-core score of 1590 and a multi-core score of 3120. .
Compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max with the A13 Bionic chip, the 12 Pro scores 263 points more in single-core and 90 points less in multi-core. This could be due to the fact that the tested iPhone 12 Pro is running iOS 14.1, a version currently in beta and unstable. The final performance of the device will be much better once it arrives on the market, thanks to the correct optimization of the software.
Comparing the results with those obtained by the iPad Air 4, we can see that the Air achieved a single-core score of 1582, which is 9 points less than the 12 Pro, but it far surpasses the iPhone 12 Pro in the score. multi-core, totaling a score of 4262, or 1142 points more. Recall that the new iPad Air 4 is equipped with the same A14 chip present on the new iPhone 12 range, but only has 4GB of RAM.
Further confirmation of the presence of 6GB of RAM on the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models comes from MacRumors. The site was able to find a .plist file in the beta version of Xcode 12.1, which accurately reveals the amount of RAM present on the new devices.
