Apple notifies support teams of iOS 13 personal hotspot issues
In an internal document distributed to Apple’s authorized service providers this week, the company acknowledged that some users of iOS 13 and / or iPadOS 13 may experience problems with their personal hotspot .
Some of these problems include:
- Inability to connect to an enabled personal hotspot
- Repeated disconnection from a hotspot
- General problems with data performance
As a temporary solution, Apple recommended that service providers turn off and on their personal hotspot. This suggests that the fix is likely to come via a future software update, but it’s unclear if the issue has been fixed in iOS 13.4 and the GM release notes don’t mention any fixes to the hotspot.
Apple advises customers to keep their software up to date and has stated that this is not a hardware problem.
