DigiTimes: Apple could launch AirPods 2 in the first half of 2019

Now just over two years after their commercialization, the AirPods are still in the first version and have not yet been updated in hardware. According to DigiTimes, Apple could launch the new model by the first half of this year with juicy news.

The first substantial innovation, reported by DigiTimes, could be in the design, which should be adapted and modified especially for the addition of sensors for health monitoring. This could also make us think of a small increase in size, perhaps to insert new sensors or a battery of greater capacity.

It is not the first time that this rumors are reported, especially regarding the integration of sensors for health monitoring and as time goes by the rumors start to be much more insistent. An excellent launching stage could be the WWDC event, located right in the middle of the year, where the new Apple operating systems are unveiled.
