Apple has launched a new program to replace the screen that covers all units iPhone X having problems with the touch panel. According to Apple, in fact, some iPhone X have a display or part of it, that does not respond to touch or responds intermittently or that even reacts without being touched at all.
Thanks to the new program launched by Apple, customers who encounter this type of problem in their devices, can get a free replacement of the Display by going to an Apple retail, contacting the assistance of the Californian company or relying on an authorized center.
Before requesting a repair, Apple advises customers to back up their iPhones to iTunes or iCloud. But society warns :
If your iPhone X has damage that compromises the ability to complete the repair, such as a broken screen, that problem will have to be resolved before service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with additional repair.
This Apple program does not extend the coverage of the standard warranty of the iPhone X and repairs may be limited to the original country of purchase. The program covers the affected iPhone X for 3 years after the unit’s first retail sale.
Customers whose devices have been affected by this problem and who have already paid a repair can contact Apple support for a refund.
