New iPad Pro: size, support for Face ID and absence of 3.5mm jack Rumor

New iPad Pro should arrive in the coming months, and rumors certainly are not lacking. MacOtakara. in addition to information on the new iPhone with 6.1 “LCD, has also revealed new details on the upcoming Apple tablet.

According to the report, the new iPad Pro will measure 247.5 x 178.7 x 6 mm. By comparison, the currently commercially available model measures 250.6 x 174.1 x 6.1 mm. In short, it will be smaller in every dimension. As for the 12.9 ” model, it should measure 280 x 215 x 6.4 mm. If we take into account the size of the last model launched (305.7 x 220.6 x 6.9 mm), we find that Apple intends to install a display from the same thumbs in a decidedly smaller body.

Now let’s move on to a novelty that, although almost obvious, will be discussed. The models of the iPad Pro of 2018 should not have the traditional 3.5mm jack port. A decision made with iPhone 7, and that “forces” users to use the Lightning port also to use wired headphones. In the case of headphones with 3.5mm jack, you can use the adapter, but we do not know if it will be included in the package of the new iPad.

In addition, the report confirms the presence of Face ID but does not mention support for landscape mode. The lack of such support would be a problem, considering that the device is very often used in this mode.

Another novelty would concern the position of the Smart Connector, which Apple will probably move near the Lightning door. What consequences should this decision bring? Will the new iPad Pro connect vertically to a Smart Keyboard (for example)? No further details were provided, so we just have to wait for new ones.

What do you think of new iPad Pro with these features? your comments.
